This is a fairly easy cross-country walk with hardly any climbs or descents; it is not suitable for bicycles, pushchairs or wheelchairs as it involves clambering over several stiles.
Unfortunately, it can be quite wet and muddy after recent rain. Waterproof footwear is advisable at all times. Also, there are some parts where there may be brambles, so long trousers would be better than shorts.
Leaving Kington Langley from Silver Street. Go straight ahead along the bridleway; you are joining the old 'green road' to Draycot Cerne.
After walking straight ahead aalong the bridleay, you will reach a junction, with a by-way sign pointing into a small field ahead of you. Take a short-cut and go straight ahead and cross the field. (Alternatively, you could go left then follow the bridleway around the field to the right, in a clockwise direction.) When you reach the far side of the field, carry on along the bridleway straight ahead; you will come to a few houses and a junction of bridleways.
You have reached 'old Sutton Road'; to your right leads you back to the main road, and to your left leads you to Draycot Cerne.
